Mighty Meetup Aberdeen
It’s been a long time since the digital community came out in force in Aberdeen for a purely digital event, too long in fact. The sleeping giant of the OKN will return for its 5th run out at some point but in the meantime, a number of smaller networking events (some focussed on digital/tech, some not) have popped up and for the most part, those I have attended have been interesting, fun and a nice chance to meet people working in similar fields in Aberdeen.
There is however, a new kid in town.
This coming Tuesday will see the first “Mighty Meetup” in Aberdeen and this one is targeted straight at those working in the web industry. For this reason alone, I am pretty excited. The event is being put on by Deer Digital and has a line-up of speakers all knowledgable in their fields and all prepared to talk a bit about the meetup theme of “emerging technologies for the web”. This should be an essential event to attend if you have any interest in the future of the web industry and happen to be in Aberdeen on Tuesday night.
